Her environmental advocacy is equally impressive. As an Ocean Ambassador and EcoAthletes Champion, she collects trash from oceans during her swims while raising awareness about microplastic pollution in our waterways.
“I’m on a mission to inspire people worldwide to do at least 1% better when it comes to tackling trash and combating microplastic pollution,” Liivand has stated in her work with Wavemakers United, where she serves as a Water Ambassador.
